If you've been a reader for a while, you know that one of my absolute favorite things to do is test out vintage makeup products that you can still buy today! One of my most popular posts ever is my post on popular 90s Revlon lipstick. Since you guys loved that post so much, I thought I would explore all the other retro lipstick shades from Revlon that are still sold today.

There's something about being able to experience something that people experienced in the past that makes us feel connected in some way. When I put on a lipstick shade that was popular in the past, I feel like I can imagine myself in the shoes of women from back then.

It's also a really cool look at how makeup trends have changed over the years. I did a bunch of research to see what vintage Revlon lipstick shades are still sold today, and it was harder than I thought!

"World's Most Iconic Lipsticks"

This post is all about vintage revlon lipstick.

In my research, I looked at vintage Revlon makeup ads as well as any information I could find online and on Revlon's website. Later in this post, I grouped shades with like colors so you can better compare the swatches!

I think it's so cool that Revlon has some lipstick shades that have been around since the '50s! Most brands will rename their older shades to make them more modern, or just do away with them altogether.

For this post, I decided to include any lipstick shades from the '50s all the way up to the early '00s. I know that many people do not consider this timeframe to be vintage, but I thought people would still be interested in seeing lipsticks that were popular in the '00s era too!

I cannot guarantee that each shade is the same exact formula as it was when it first came out, and I don't have exact release dates for every lipstick, but I think this list gives you a good idea of fun shades to try out if you're feeling nostalgic. Please don't hesitate to let me know if I've missed any shades. I'll try to keep this post updated as new information comes in!

Every lipstick here is from Revlon's Super Lustrous line. The lipsticks are all a creamy formula - nothing too matte or drying.

*For reference on the swatches below: I have a medium/neutral skintone. Colors will vary person to person.
